We urge all parties to the conflict to allow safe
access to the United Nations and its partners so they can deliver lifesaving
humanitarian assistance, including to those Iraqi families reportedly encircled
by ISIL on Mount Sinjar . The United
States is committed to helping the people of Iraq as they
confront the security and humanitarian challenges in their fight against ISIL.
Iraq’s leaders must move swiftly to form a new, fully inclusive government that
takes into account the rights, aspirations and legitimate concerns of all of Iraq ’s
communities. All Iraqis must come together to ensure that Iraq gets back on the path to a peaceful future
and to prevent ISIL from obliterating Iraq ’s vibrant diversity.

notes: So goes the advice of an
ex-hippie, “I hate make-up” Utopian
do-gooder, who prefers “talk” to
actually doing something to stop the slaughter in Iraq .
So, we wage war in Iraq forever? Your only solution is to kill the enemy, rather than seeking peaceful solutions. Typical teaparty mentality.
ReplyDeleteNo one wants to wage war. I say, take your complaint to the jihadists and military minded of this world (i.e. Russia). They are the reason we wage war . . . . . the ONLY reason. Your complaint is easily refuted. If your family were physically threatened, would you throw your guns away, tell the intruders, "Look I seek peace," and hope for the best?
DeleteSmithson admires Putin. He'd love to be led by a shirtless man on a horse.
DeleteSmithson also prefers plastiky looking fox news women smeared with makeup and former bimbo beauty queens like Palin.
I am no fan of either Putin or some arrogant, ex-hippie pietist speaking on my behalf. Because you prefer "ugly" does not mean I need to agree.
