<<< This is a convoy of 250 trucks, bring humanitarian aid into Ukraine . . . at least, that is what Putin wanted folks to believe. The convoy was stopped at the Ukraine border, UN inspectors were brought to the site, the trucks were examined for arms and troops, hand grenades were found (and, perhaps more), and the Ukraine Armed forces, attacked a Russian force attached to this convoy, and destroyed the Russian Accompaniment. That is what is being reported, as of an hour ago.

What has not been in the news, of late, is the fact that Russia is
getting its butt summarily kicked, in this incursion into Ukraine. Russia has little money, its economy was a mess, even, before Putin's military maneuvers, and the military "creep" into Ukraine has been exposed. Putin either has to back off or convert his attack on Ukraine to a full-scale military assault.

Putin is running out of time and money. Will he accept this border defeat, or move into Ukraine, using sheer force and harsh tactics? Or will he put his invasion on "slow," knowing that he has two years of a weak and know-nothing Obama, to recover some of what was lost during the Reagan years and its related aftermath?

The Stated Nonsense from the Left now includes these Progressive goals:

July 2, 2008, Obama had this to say: "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

MICHELLE OBAMA: "Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we're going to have to change our traditions, our history; we're going to have to move into a different place as a nation."

On September 30, Van Jones told MSNBC "I think everybody should hold onto your seats. October is going to be the turning point when it comes to the progressive fight back."
