Agence France-Presse:
Clinton blames Islamic militants rise on Obama policies AFP 34 mins ago — Washington (AFP) - Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton blamed the rise of Islamist militants in Iraq and Syria on failures of US policy under President Barack Obama, in an interview published Sunday . . . . . .
Editor's notes: Whether Hillary is correct in her assessment, is not the point, here. Rather, it is the fact that she is definitely running for President. Her Sunday interview represents a clear break with her one-time boss, and, more importantly, a move back to the political middle. "Progressivism," today, is the post-modern way of talking about Marxism. Hillary is not a "Progressive" in that sense of the word, although she is a big government liberal. Is there a difference? Maybe not, but I rather believe there is . . . a difference. Look, we have had "big government" types, in the national debate, from the beginning of our nation . . . . lots of them, for that matter. But the Marxist/One World/Progressive is a modern day phenom.
I thought Obama's response to this criticism, was more than interesting. Referring specifically to Hillary's criticism, he had this to say:
"This idea that we could provide some light arms or even more sophisticated arms to what was essentially an opposition made up of former doctors, farmers, pharmacists and so forth, and that they were going to be able to battle not only a well-armed state but also a well-armed state backed by Russia, backed by Iran, a battle-hardened Hezbollah, that was never in the cards,”

What is his message, here, his rebuttal? In effect, it appears that he is saying, "My decision to do absolutely nothing seems to be the best decision I could make."
In view of his other, failed, decisions, maybe sitting back and doing nothing was his best choice. Whatever the case, Hillary has decided to "come out" with her personal brand of "moderation." And, the war of words and wills, within the Democrat Party, has begun.
