Our unelected First Lady is in a food fight that is costing the taxpayer more than a half billion dollars a year.

The single largest corporation in the world,  is the United States of America.  Incredibly,  it is being managed by a 10th rate,  know nothing,  community organizer,  whose largest command was an organizer’s [Chicago] office of 13 people.  With no experience whatsoever,  this man became the Top CEO of the nation because of his command of an 8th grade vocabulary and the fact that he appears to be an authentic black man.  That’s it.  And time has proven what many have been saying for years,  that he is “in over his head.”

And now,  his unelected and unqualified wife is drawing fire,  for her involvement in a federally mandated school lunch program that is proving to be extremely expensive at the school level,  and,  of little long term consequence to the health of school children.

It features an emphasis on fruits and vegetables and has wasted,  to date,  enough money ($684 million), to pay the full cost  of 228 million school lunches per year (per the NY Times).   And,  when we say “wasted,”  we are talking about food being thrown away,  uneaten by the children this program is to benefit.  As it turns our,  more than half of all the nation's school lunch programs are losing money as they try to implement the new regulations  (NY Post).  In Los Angeles,  the kids in that district throw away more than $100,000 worth of food each and every day.  And the waste was so great,  in an Arlington Heights school district (in Michelle Obama's home state of Illinois),  that District 214 voted itself out of the program.

While only 4 states have officially opted out of the Obama food program,  opposition is growing,  with 360 school districts crafting strategies to circumvent the coming federal mandates,  scheduled to take full effect this coming year.  Most importantly,  is the opposition of the School Nutrition Association.  Once an enthusiastic supporter,  the organization is now lobbying for delays in the implementation of the federal mandates.

Of course,  the Administration and its Utopian cabal,  are blaming opposition to this program on Big Business and the lobbyists in its food court.  Never mind the fact that the program is problematic at the school level,  because students are not eating what is being served.

A few school districts,  such as Arlington Heights,  have worked the numbers,  and decided to forego the federal funds received for their food programs,  believing the cost of food waste more than pays for the lost revenue.

And, so,  our federal Overlords proceed with  their unqualified imposition into our lives,  and our kids are still overweight and more poorly educated than ever.

  1. All Red States have a multiplicity as to political parties and persuasions. I would argue that the healthiest of the voting class, in those states are Republican voters. Because the overall tonage of a given state voting "GOP," might be huge, does not mean that "conservatives" are the problem. Anyone been to a black caucus meeting, lately? Big butted black women are everywhere. Clearly, the obesity problem is more a Democrat issue, than a hard working, conservative issue.

  2. There is no reason to believe that this effort is going to be any more successful than Obama's "border security" the Dems bragged about, back in 2011, or his Iraq policy when he claimed a victory for the success of the Bush policy, or his policy to bring America together. What a stinking joke this is.

  3. I agree with the first post. Obesity is costing this nation, plenty. And what are the conservatives doing about it? Nothing, nothing at all. As a matter of fact, they are still in the dark ages when it comes to educational process, believeing education by "rote" to be a better system than Common Core or related efforts.
