Here is why Benghazi is so much worse than Watergate: men were dying but not yet dead, while Obama slept, flew to Nevada and was giving speeches. Why is this a partisan issue? Shouldn't we all be furious?

<<<<  Benghazia is not "Benghazi" because of a pretend video or the cover-up;  it is "Benghazi" because    Obama decided his sleep and the campaign trip scheduled for the next day were of a higher priority  than men screaming for 20 hours, begging their Commander to "come, save us."    And if you don't agree,  it is because you are just as cold blooded as he.

U.S. President Barack Obama speaks to supporters during a campaign stop on September 12, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Obama is focusing his speech on economic policies during his two days of campaign events in Nevada and Colorado.

Again,  while Obama is giving this very speech,  while the ignorant Millennial crowd,  behind him, cheer, men under his command,   are dying,  without mention and without a care.

  1. Where was the outrage?

    Under Reagan...
Beirut, Lebanon, when a suicide bomber drove a truck laden with the equivalent of twenty-one thousand pounds of TNT into the heart of a U.S. Marine compound, killing two hundred and forty-one servicemen.

    Under Bush....

January 22, 2002. Calcutta, India. Gunmen associated with Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami attack the U.S. Consulate. Five people are killed.
June 14, 2002. Karachi, Pakistan. Suicide bomber connected with al-Qaida attacks the U.S. Consulate, killing 12 and injuring 51.
October 12, 2002. Denpasar, Indonesia. U.S. diplomatic offices bombed as part of a string of “Bali Bombings.” No fatalities.
February 28, 2003. Islamabad, Pakistan. Several gunmen fire upon the U.S. Embassy. Two people are killed.
May 12, 2003. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Armed al-Qaida terrorists storm the diplomatic compound killing 36 people including nine Americans. The assailants committed suicide by detonating a truck bomb.
July 30, 2004. Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A suicide bomber from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan attacks the U.S. Embassy, killing two people.
December 6, 2004. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al-Qaida terrorists storm the U.S. Consulate and occupy the perimeter wall. Nine people are killed.
March 2, 2006. Karachi, Pakistan again. Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. (I wonder if Lindsey Graham or Fox News would even recognize the name “David Foy.” This is the third Karachi terrorist attack in four years on what’s considered American soil.)
September 12, 2006. Damascus, Syria. Four armed gunmen shouting “Allahu akbar” storm the U.S. Embassy using grenades, automatic weapons, a car bomb and a truck bomb. Four people are killed, 13 are wounded.
January 12, 2007. Athens, Greece. Members of a Greek terrorist group called the Revolutionary Struggle fire a rocket-propelled grenade at the U.S. Embassy. No fatalities.
March 18, 2008. Sana’a, Yemen. Members of the al-Qaida-linked Islamic Jihad of Yemen fire a mortar at the U.S. Embassy. The shot misses the embassy, but hits nearby school killing two.
July 9, 2008. Istanbul, Turkey. Four armed terrorists attack the U.S. Consulate. Six people are killed.
September 17, 2008. Sana’a, Yemen. Terrorists dressed as military officials attack the U.S. Embassy with an arsenal of weapons including RPGs and detonate two car bombs. Sixteen people are killed, including an American student and her husband (they had been married for three weeks when the attack occurred). This is the second attack on this embassy in seven months.

  2. Apparently, you don't read my headlines or related stories, themselves. None of the above involved the scandal of a cover-up. On no occasion, did Bush MANUFACTURE a made-up story to escape the consequences of the event. At no time, did Bush send his representatives out on the network circuit to lie about any of the above . . . . not once. what you have in Obama is a spineless coward who cares more for re-election than for the people who serve under his command.

My claim that no attacks on the homeland, since 9/11, is another issue you try to dispel in the above. While embassies are considered "American soil," they are not "homeland," so get over it. Bush never had to shut down all embassies in the Middle East and North Africa. Obama, had to do this, despite the made up fact that he had "decimated" al Qaeda. The following comes from the list you quote above. You forgot to include these Obama era attacks? Yemen and embassies in North Africa are not on the list, below, to add to your memory loss.

    (38) On July 11, 2011, supporters of the Syrian government stormed the US embassy at Damascus, smashing windows and raising a Syrian flag at the US diplomatic compound. The office building was damaged as the Syrian security forces were slow to respond. Following the embassy assault, the residence of the US ambassador, Robert Ford, was also attacked by a mob.

    39) On September 13, 2011, Taliban attacked the US embassy and the NATO’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) headquarters at Kabul with small arms and RPGs.

    40) On October 28, 2011, a man armed with an automatic weapon fired shots at the US embassy at Sarajevo, hitting a police officer before authorities shot and wounded him.

    41) On April 5, 2012, eight people lost lives when the US Consulate at Peshawar was attacked.

    42) On September 11, 2012, a group of violent protesters stormed the US consulate at Benghazi (Libya) against the recent anti-Islam blasphemous video film—- killing the US Ambassador and three staff members.

    43) On September 11, 2012, the US embassy at Cairo was also attacked.

    44) On September 11, 2012, the US embassy at Sana’a too came under an aggressive assault.

  4. This will be the last time I allow your comments, immediately above. You are not going to use this blog to educate the readership via repeated mist-statements of historical fact.

I have made it clear that there were no attacks on the homeland after 9/11; that all of 9/11 was planned during the Clinton years, after the terrorists failed to bring down the Towers in 1992; that there were no specific warnings dealing with the kind of terror attack that actually took place on 9/11.

As to embassy attacks, none of the cited attacks, during the Bush years, involved a cover up or the death of an Ambassador. There have been 12 embassy attacks during Obama, the terrible deaths of an Ambassador and three other diplomats complete with a massive cover-up involving Obama and Hillary, and a world-wide embassy closure that lasted for more than a week, due to terror threats, all since Obama started bragging about the death of alQaeda.

The 935 lies of Bush, are not different lies, but the same 7 or 8 "lies," told over and over. WMD's are on that list, but the truth of the matter is that there were WMD's in Iraq including chemical and lethal, many of which were sent to Syria during the 14 month waiting period while the UN and Congress argued to allow the invasion. I know the truth of this, first hand, because I know two individuals, one military and the other a private contractor, who worked three years, each, defusing WMD's.

Contrast 7 or 8 DIFFERENT "lies" with the hundreds of different lies told by this Administration during the 2008 campaign season, beginning with his promise to abide by McCain/Feingold finance laws and extending, to this very day and time.
