A Christian couple in Pakistan have become the latest to be sentenced to death for blasphemy, after they were accused of sending a text message deemed insulting to the Prophet Mohammed.
Shafqat Emmanuel and Shagufta Kausar, from the eastern town of Gojra, were sentenced after what the couple's lawyer said was a case motivated by a personal grudge.

Editor:  and to think,  Obama has a preference from Islam,  for some reason.

Rep. Vance McAllister, a freshman Republican congressman from Louisiana who made his Baptist faith a central focus of his campaign for Congress - caught on surveillance camera cheating on his wife.

The senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale Bob Coy has resigned after confessing to cheating on his wife. The mega church has 20,000 members.

    ...and that's just this week.

  2. The face of American Christianity:

    * “The Creationist group Answers In Genesis, which was already incensed about Neil deGrasse Tyson’s revival of Cosmos, is now complaining that the show lacks scientific balance because it fails to provide airtime for evolution deniers.”

    * “A Buddhist student and his family won a settlement last week against a Louisiana school district where the student’s religion was ridiculed in class as ‘stupid,’ the teacher taught that evolution is ‘impossible,’ and that the bible is ‘100 percent true.’”

    * A LA state lawmaker wants to make the Christian Bible the “official state book.” The bill to make the designation is still pending in committee .

    * “Plaintiffs opposed to the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro TN graveyard approval seek a court order ‘to halt the construction and improvement of the cemetery’. The anti Islamic movement is spearheaded by the World Outreach Christian Church.

    * And Ralph Reed is doing his part to keep the religious right’s sense of victimhood alive, arguing this week, “I think, unfortunately, bigotry against evangelical Christians is the last acceptable form of bigotry in the country.” Reed is notorious for his bigotry against gays, single women who have sex, and all those who are not christian.
