My, how times have changed. Michelle Obama, every much the rebel that is her husband, has been disinvited as the commencement speaker at A Kansas high school. 1750 seniors signed the partition requesting her to go elsewhere. The were respectful in their request, citing the inconvenience M Obama's appearance would cause. On high school senior complained that "this is our celebration," and Obama's appearance would make it impossible for most family members to attend the graduation. While this is a great sounding reason, the fact remains that M Obama has been the commencement speaker at a number of schools, in the past. Never before has she been disinvited.
I think this is a "sign of the times."
What do you expect? KANSAS. Where they teach creationism instead of science.

And there you are, preaching the fall of the Twin Towers was the doing of Bush; that a man can say he is a woman and he is a woman, that Acid Rain was going to kill us all, along with eating too many eggs. There you are, when the world needs our help fighting evil, you all send them K-rations and socks. And now, your president wants to pardon 200,000 felons !!! I hope he follows through. You all will never survive the midterms, if he does.

Michelle Obama IS going to speak in Kansas. She was disinvited because she it was felt her event would be so popular that it would squeeze out family members who want to attend.
Don't like being "typified" by the actions and comments of a few? Stop doing that very thing, to my side of the aisle. I only use YOUR TACTICS when responding to you Marxist Misfits.
ReplyDeleteThe fact of the matter is this: there are lots of Democrats who believe that Bush destroyed the Twin Towers and no one on your side of the aisle makes fun of them. Until you do, all of you are guilty of that rhetorical nonsense.
ALL on your side of the aisle, believe in the "truth" of transgender claims, so a man claims to be woman, and, presto, he is a she. THAT is something you will have to live with because that is something you all believe. So much for your fauz respect for science.
You complain, saying, " . . . no rational person believes these things." That is exactly my point. These are positions taken by all or some on the Left, and, as long as you hang me with over stated generalities, I will do the same . . . . . with equal results, I hope.
Michelle WAS disinvited. That was not her decision. She does not give a crap about the people over which she rules. Think about this: she has been invited and has spoken to any number of high schools, over the years. In every case, her presence crowded out most of the available seating for the families of those graduating. Suddenly, for the first time in five years, this is a stated concern?
What it means is this: those Kansas hicks you made fun of, in your first response, above, are not as dumb as you suppose. They came up with a "reason" for their rejection that could be defended, in spite of the fact that the same reason could have been offered, a dozen times, before, over the years. They got to tell her "no" and they got away with it. Sure, the school's administration will let her save face, but she is not the winner here, unless you spell that word, "wiener."
How does it feel to get your butt kicked using the same tactics you and you “ad hom” loving pie-holes, use on us “hicks,” day in and day out????

People are born with sexual identification that goes beyond their biology. Get over it. Why you could identify this with Democrats, I have no idea. Perhaps it's because the Republicans, like the Taliban and other 3rd world African countries, wish to discriminate against gays. Wrong side of history. If Republican Sen. Larry Craig was caught doing what he did in some of these countries, he'd get the death penalty.
