Time for a discussion about national security and what Obama has done and is doing, putting us all in greater and greater danger, than before his presidency.

<<<  Yes,  this is a real picture;  Obama condemning Putin in a hurried presser at some elementary school  -  striking fear into the hearts of the Despotic World,  no doubt.  Presser was held on March, 3, 2014.  Geeeeeesh.

(Updated for grammar)

From Politico,  we have this concern:  A range of lawmakers and intelligence community experts are puzzled about why U.S. intelligence agencies seem to have misjudged Putin’s intentions and whether the lack of warning fits a pattern of other significant intelligence shortcomings in recent years.

The answers could affect how the huge but shrinking intelligence budget is allocated in the future, possibly focusing more attention and resources on traditional adversaries like Russia and China and a somewhat less on the overarching focus of the past decade: terrorism.

Earlier warning of Putin’s move might have given the U.S. and other allies more time to try to dissuade him and prompted more effort in doing so. But it’s unclear whether the Russian leader would have bowed to such pressure.
Other senators leaving the same briefing Tuesday afternoon described the present state of intelligence on the issue as muddled and sketchy.

“There just seemed to be a lack of current intelligence, but I can’t go into details,” said Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine). She called questions about a lack of warning “very valid,” but declined to elaborate.

Editor's notes: 90 Americans have either died or have been injured because of homeland,  terrorist attacks,  since Obama has become our Over Lord.  Under Bush,  that total was ZERO.  With Bush,  we fought and won a war.  With Obama, that victory (Iraq) was reversed and the Afghan War is a total disaster.  Obama brags about 40/ terrorist leaders killed with his drone program.  Under Bush,  40,000 terrorists were killed and hundreds of leaders.  Obama killed Osama.  Bush drove Osama from power and sent him into hidding,  like the Muslim coward he was.  With Bush,  we captured and interrogated hundreds of terrorists.  With Obama,  the program of intense or prolonged interrogation has ended.  In fact, we simply do not capture and interrogate.  Pointing to less than six exceptions to my claim,  actually proves my point.  We now know less about the terror network and its inner workings,  than during the days of Clinton   . . . . . . .   less.

Most troublesome is the fact that Obama and the Viet Nam coward,  John Kerry,  believe that mankind has evolved into a peace loving entity.

Never mind a world run by despots:  China and its harsh treatment of people of faith  (we are talking about millions of people,  folks Obama does not care about) along with a growing military of more than 2.2 million foot soldiers;  North Korea and its maniac 25 year old punk leader,  a man so devoid of human decencies,  he actually needs to be assassinated;  Putin,  a KGB thug who regrets the fall of the Soviet Union  (and John Kerry does not know about this guy?????? );  Iran,  a nation Obama has allowed to become a nuclear power,  just months away from beginning to build its nuclear,  weapons-grade,  arsenal;  the Taliban and related Afghan based terror cabal,  men Obama has worked to create a "negotiated peace" in that country,  only to be rejected and laughed out of that country by these killers;  and the despotic Muslim population that continues to ravage parts of Africa.

Sarah Palin predicted the Ukraine "invasion" six years ago;  Obama and Kerry, on the other hand,  were shocked when they read about it in the papers.  Mitt Romney knew about it,  and was ridiculed by an Obama who was clearly out of touch and naive in his thinking about Russia.  So why didn't this Administration see the Russian build up coming?  Others did,  but not the two people (B Obama and Kerry) who matter most,  at this time.

Why?  Well, I can tell you this, any answer to this question must have the words "feckless" and "incompetent" in its text, or, it is not close to being adequate.
