Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.
Three lies were told over and over again, in the 2012 Campaign: you can keep your insurance; al Qaeda is on the run; we have reset our relationship with Russia. It is "preposterous" to think otherwise.
A couple of days ago, John Keery, Viet Nam traitor, discussing the issues in Ukraine, told Andrea Mitchel of MSNBC (yes, they are still on the air), "This is not Rocky Four." Why did he pick that particular expression? Because, back in the days of the 2012 campaign, the poster (below) was created and published, by the DNC, to ridicule and humiliate Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin, for suggesting that Russia was our enemy. The comparison of "Rocky Four" was used by the Socialist Dems for the first time, in this poster. I know, it is hard to believe that there are folks who see Russia as a friend of the US. Anyway, you decide. I just want to know why anyone would think otherwise. Good grief.
