Friday, October 4th, 1913, is the 100th anniversary of the U.S. income tax
code. You can count this as the official beginning of the Socialist/Progressive
Movement with its first victory in a continuing effort to institutionalize
socialist progressivism.
Another
phrase for “income tax” is “progressive income tax system,” a function of social justice
political theory, a social force that takes wealth from the rich and expands
federal programs for the so-called “poor.”
On this
day, October 4, we commemorate the birth of progressive
socialism in this country, with its
founding father being Woodrow Wilson, a
socialist Democrat who hated blacks, but
loved the idea of an advancing political system that would (some day) over-whelm free enterprise except as it exists
via federal permission. Wilson took office early in 1913. The progressive income tax was one of the first "successes" of his 8 year term, a presidency that proved to be as radical as the Obama administration.
Other celebrated social/progressive dates include the beginning of Social Security (1935) in the second year of FDR's long presidential term (33-45); Medicare in 1966 in the third year of LBJ and, of course, ObamaCare in March of 2010.
Understand that the promise of a "limited income tax" was intended only to deceive the American people. That code has grown from nothing to more than 73,000 pages sense its inception, and has been the foundation stone for an ever growing federal government and its incestuous lust for more and more spending, funded by a tax system that is repressive and unable to keep pace with the national debt.
Social Security was originally sold as a "safety net" for individual workers, but has devolved into a program that supplies retirement incomes for a two member family. The program was to have paid its own expenses, but now owes itself more than 17 trillion dollars and rising.
Medicare was the first effort at socialized medicine. It is the basic element in the ObamaCare program and has been integrally embedded in that health care reform law. Medicare, under Obama's health care insurance plan, is the foundation of the 50 state exchanges, and, owe's itself more than 42 trillion dollars, which means, of course, that ObamaCare is already 42 trillion in the hole.
In the end, all of our progressive programs fail if defined in terms offering "upward mobility" to the working poor. They also fail in terms of fiscal responsibility . . . . . none of them are fiscally responsible programs.
Expect ObamaCare to be more of the same, only on steroids.
