Apparently, even Oprah is sick and tired of the disappointing record of the man she once enthusiastically supported.

Out of the NY Post:

As the White House was gearing up to sell ObamaCare to the American people last summer, Valerie Jarrett, the president’s pointwoman on a host of issues, phoned Oprah Winfrey.
She invited the Queen of All Media to join celebrities, including Amy Poehler, Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys, to meet with President Obama and discuss how they could generate publicity for his health-care law.
Oprah refused.
“All of Oprah’s top people thought she would go, because when the president invites you to the White House, most people automatically say yes,” said one of Oprah’s closest advisers. “But Oprah said she didn’t have the time or inclination to go. It wasn’t like she had to think it over. It was an immediate, flat-out, unequivocal no.”
Instead, Oprah sent a low-level rep from one of her talent agencies, which was regarded as a insult. Obama had been counting on Oprah’s immense persuasive powers to help enroll millions in ObamaCare. But as the rollout turned into a disaster, Oprah didn’t lift a finger to help.

Editor’s notes:  Understand that Oprah is a principled liberal,  one of many,  very disappointed in Barak and Michelle Obama.  She understands his personal agenda and is fully aware of his personal and political failings  --  and she wants nothing to do with either.  At least, that is how I interrupt  the implicit meaning of this story.

I cannot believe that Oprah is against ObamaCare as a national solution to a very complicated issue.  If,  therefore,  her insulting refusal is not actually about “ObamaCare,”  what is left, but, her disappointment with Obama as a true liberal and president?  Surely,  she is aware that all economic indicators for the black community are down,  and down considerably.  In terms of effect,  Obama has done nothing for the black man,  in this country,  except to feed his anger and further isolate him from the solutions needed to give him [finally] this thing called "upward mobility."

You should be reminded of the fact that the "war on poverty,"  began with LBJ back in the early 1960's, has spent 7 trillion dollars and has accomplished nothing as to offering the poor, black, working man a way out of his inordinate circumstance,  namely,  all the domestic crap that keeps "the hood" a despicable place to live.

Oprah knows this and cannot see Obama's term as president,  as any sort of solution.  He has failed in the eyes of so many liberals.  I see it everyday,  in my research for this blog.  The disappointment is there,  it is pervasive, and it may prove to be extremely damaging to the Democrat Party.
