Taking some time off. Here is my schedule and a brief summary of the current Administration

Updated for corrections and content

<< <<<  Your faithful editor since 2008,  standing next to his VTX 1800,  on top of Mt Evens (14,270 feet west of Denver) and weighing 53 pounds less than he did in the fall of 2011.

As near as I can figure,  I have about 2700 folks who read this blog twice a week or more.  To you all,  I say "thanks."

It is a free blog,  dedicated to the [political] education of the masses  -  or in this case, 2,700 people.  I will resume serious publication toward the middle/end of this coming week.

We are in the middle of the lame duck period of the Obama Administration,  something I believe has been the case since the summer of 2010.  The healthcare mess he helped create was signed into law on March 23, 2010,  and nothing of any serious consequence has happened from that day forward.

He has accumulated some 20 different scandals, has impeachable issues with 4 scandals including his misuse of the IRS in targeting conservative groups asking for the same status as countless Progressives/Socialists now have,    took a long fought but clear cut victory in Iraq (nearly 40,000 terrorists died in that conflict - why don't you know this?)  and squandered that victory into non-existence; he has no clue how to get out of Afghanistan without looking like the misfit he has proven himself to be,  has turned the Middle East on its head and is now less popular in that region of the world than GW Bush ever thought of being.

With ObamaCare,  not one single "state exchange" is up and running as it should.  He has missed half of all deadlines set for that program,  postponed the employer mandate for more than a year,  created billions in new taxes on the middle class,  admitted a failure in creating protections for data security scheduled to be in place by October 1 of this year,  has postponed the subsidies program for ObamaCare until next year,  and has granted more than 2000 waivers for ObamaCare enrollment including the US Congress and the buffoon's who are our "representatives."    The plan,  itself,  has well over 11,000 pages of regulations,  and has inadvertently redefined the workweek down to 29 hours,  from the traditional 40 hour week.

More than 10 million Americans have dropped out of the workforce altogether,  and are no longer reported by this Administration.  The 7.3 % unemployment number  (it was 6.8% when he took office regardless of the current lie being told by the MSM) would be 14.5% if his administrators counted the same number of folks into the workforce as was the case in 2009.

He as allowed for the murders of the Benghazi diplomats,  17 Seal Team Six soldiers shot down 12 weeks after Biden announced Seal Team Six's complicity in the killing of bin Laden,  has funded gun running with Fast and Furious ending in the deaths of two border agents  (Jamie Zapata and Brian Terry) and more than 400 Mexican civilians,  has run arms into Syria via the CIA out of Libya,  contributing to the deaths of countless thousands in that region of the world, and,  is now thanking Putin for taking the lead role in negotiations with Syria over his phony "red line" threat.

In short,  his failures are comprehensive in scope and number  --  a man who has made Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter look like national treasures.

When I begin writing again,  next week,  nothing will have changed from the news of this particular day.  Congress will have done nothing about his criminal malfeasance,  the GOP will have lost the battle over the budget since they no longer believe having an actual budget is anymore important than do the Socialist Progressives;   Assad will continue killing people with Obama's opaque blessings,  Putin will continue embarrassing the United States while Kerry thanks him for the privilege of having served under his leadership (seriously),  the economy will continue to suck,  GDP will remain at historic lows, and the grand hypocrite of all, John McCain,  will move even further away from the conservative base he courted while running for president in 2008.

I am 68 and about to help set up a new construction company out of Denver.  I will write a few articles in the coming days,  but my full time efforts will be in preparation for the coming trip and the work to be done setting up the company's business.

You will be hearing from me and,  oh,  pay attention to Governor Palin's comments.  You might not like her verbal delivery,  but,  to date,  I really have not found a single major issue with her as to the issues,  and she has not shied away from any important discussion  . . . . . and she is as important as ever.

Incredible.

Anyone still think she is a "quitter?"

I am certain her challenge to debate Obama remains open.  I am equally certain that he knows he cannot afford to be embarrassed by her in a direct confrontation,  despite his oft used phrase,  "This is a debate I am willing to have."

God Bless.

_____________

I have to tell you,  I am always surprised at the popularity of our beautiful,  conservative First Lady.  I seldom run an article that includes news and comment about Palin,  that does not rank at the very top of anything written on that particular day.  Case in point,  the Midknight Review article,  http://jds-midknightreview.blogspot.com/2013/09/sarah-palin-is-highest-ranking-gop.html  , has scored more than 410 hits ,  far exceeding any single article written in the past two weeks  . . . . . .  all because of the mere mention of Sarah Palin.
