Final Update:
Update: In pro-ball, Tim Tebow was released, today, by New England. Vince Young and Brady Quinn were also cut from their individual rosters.
1.Alabama: frankly, after winning national titles the last 3 of 4 yrs, this is a surprise.

1.
2.
Ohio State: undefeated last year but under sanctions for 2012 only. Looked good today.
3.
Oregon: a bit of a surprise at #3 after the lose of Skip Kelly to the Phil. Eagles, but Oregon won big on Saturday.
Note: the top three all won with huge margins, but Oregon was the most convincing victory.
4.
Louisville
5.
Georgia: begins season as serious threat for #1. / Best game of the weekend with Georgia losing to Clemson by three.
6.
Florida State
7.
Clemson
8.
Stanford: should be ranked in top five (?)
9.
Texas A&M : with returning Heisman winner (as a freshman), the self serving Manziel. A&M won convincingly and Johnny Manziel is still a jerk.
10.
Texas
11.
Florida
12.
Notre Dame : one of my favorites; embarrassed by Alabama in national championship game, last year. Dame won convincingly on Saturday. Next stop -- Michigan, a big winning on the weekend, as well.
13.
LSU: another favorite . . . slow start, Saturday, but won in style.
14.
South Carolina . . . . Spurrier is an equal to Nick Saban. Sould be ranked in the top ten.
15.
Southern Cal
16.
Oklahoma State
17.
Michigan
18.
Fresno State: my hometown team' beat Rutgers in overtime, Thursday, coming for behind to tie into overtime. Rutgers missed a 2 point conversion in OT giving State the victory. David Carr's brother is in his last year with State and breaking school records.
19.
Nebraska
20.
Baylor
21.
Virginia Tech
22.
TCU
23.
Northern Illinois
24.
UCLA
