Let's get past this fantasy answer as to why the IRS
targeted pro-Israeli groups, teaparty and patriot groups, pro life
groups, organizations teaching American history and the
US Constitution and the like. Obama and his IRS henchmen
have said it was because of a huge influx of such groups, that they were only trying to be "more efficient. " But, as you can see from our chart as to 501c-3 and c-4 organizations, there
simply never was a "huge" influx of such applications. In fact, 2010,
the year this repressive strategy was put into practice, the numbers were
down, across the board, not "up" as claimed, and 2011 was quite in-line with previous
years.
The Supreme Court's decision to allow corporate political funding
(Citizens United) was announced on January 25, 2010. Although
this Rogue Administration uses this decision as the reason for the fantasy
surge, clearly, it (Citizens United) had little effect on the
world of political funding in 2010 and 2011, at least at the grassroots level. Understand that 2010 was the
year conservatives in both the teaparty and patriot groups, won the
midterm elections and stopped this nation's rush to national socialism.
Note: there were no teaparty groups before the summer of 2009, not one.
Obviously, in 2012, there was a surge of
applications for c-3 and c-4 tax exemption status, but that
"surge" was quite manageable. The major concern of the Left was
directed at the c-4 applicants. c-3's cannot be involved in politics,
but c-4 groups can. Nearly all of c-4 conservative applicants for
2012 (we estimate 2,000 such groups) were delayed, most until after
the election, effecting their ability to raise money.
True the Vote was/is one of those organizations. They
made application for c-4 status (they already had c-3 status) three years ago,
and have not been approved at this point in time, three years later, despite 17 visits
from the IRS, two from the ATF, and several from the FBI.
Prior to applying for c-4 status, they had not experienced a single
"visit" from any of these entities. The organization has
submitted well over 2000 pages of answers to such questions as,
"What is the content of speeches made by your organization,"
coupled with the demand to list the times and dates from every speech made.
The feds asked for the content of their prayers, if they had any
members planning on running for office, their list of donors, a materials
list as to materials distributed and the nature of those materials, and
on and on. None of this is or was the business of the IRS in the
evaluation process and some of these questions were illegal.
Millions of dollars of campaign funding was lost to the
conservative movement because of this Nazi style tactic. Since the
national press corps gave the commies running our government a "get out of
jail free" card (literally), apparently the Administration
thought it could use this strategy with impunity. If that was the case
- and the sky has fallen in on this practice - we should not be
surprised at the magnitude of this abuse, since no one thought they would
ever be caught.
What is critical, in all this, is the fact that Tim Geithner, B Obama, and Jack Lew all knew about this illegal activity well before the 2012 elections. Their silence is a clear statement as to their approval of such illegal strategies. In fact, there is the real possibility that they were the ones who devised this plan. Time will tell.
