Orlando Health is cutting 400 jobs starting
immediately, hospital system officials announced Monday because of ObamaCare.
Last month, Louisiana State University announced it would
cut 1,495 positions.
Hospitals are looking at an $800 billion to $900 billion
reduction in Medicare payments over the next 10 years, along with reductions in
Medicaid payments and this is the reason given for the decision(s) to adjust
cost values within the medical field.
Last week,
Stryker, a medical appliance
provider (knees and hip replacement
apparatus), announced the layoff of 1,170
employees.
Cook Medical announced in
July that it has canceled expansion plans for 2013.
Finally, we are told
that the top five donors to the Obama campaign have decided to cut thousands of
jobs
