The poor aren't so poor, but they all vote "Democrat." This election is between the Entitlement crowd and the Working/Taxpaying middle class

Update:  7:51am pt 9/18/12 - to my surprise,  this story has not gone "viral" as did the ridiculous accounting of Romney's criticism of Obama in Libya.  Why?  Could it be that the talking heads within the DNC do not want to have an all out war with the economy at center stage?

The New York Times is reporting a "private" discussion between Romney and a group of supporters.

"During a private reception with donors earlier this year, Mitt Romney described almost half of Americans as 'people who pay no income tax' and are 'dependent upon government.' Those voters, he said, are likely to support President Obama because they believe they are “entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it.”

No doubt,  this will be the next "We are shocked at such words" attack of the Compliant Media.  I mean,  they spent an entire week and two days going on and on about Romney's criticism of Obama over the Libyan disaster.    In the end,  we are finding out that Romney was right and Obama was wrong.  In fact,  Obama actually took back the comment for which Romney was critical,  12 hours after Romney's criticism was published.

Now this next statement.  Before you Dems start whining about the truth of Romney's statement,  we give you a few facts.

Here is a Gallup poll proving the truth of Romney's statement.  As it turns out,  the vast majority of what is today's Democrat party is about entitlements.  The remaining demographics (Independents and Republicans) do not agree with New Democrat Party.

Going beyond entitlements, did you know that half of all Americans of working age do not pay any State or Federal income tax?  And half of those folks actually receive a federal tax credit (similar to a refund except they did pay any taxes to refund)?  Understand that the media will try to turn this into a "heartless Romney statement"  when,  in fact,  the heartless one,  is the fellow in our White House who is giving away money in an effort to buy his way back into the office.  He has done nothing for the poor.   Dems never do. They just use them to get re-elected.  Since the Democrats "war on poverty" began back in the 60's under LBJ,  they have spent 7 trillion dollars and,  today,  there are more poor,  more on food stamps, more unemployed poor,  than ever before.  It is criminal what these losers have done to their own.  And they are going to do it again,  or at least try.

But,  I digress.

Understand that a family of four earning $22,000 a year is under the "Poverty Line."  These people receive,  on average,  an additional $9,600 a year ($800 per month) from food stamps,  Rent assistance (Section Eight) can be as much as $1400 a month or $16,000, annually.  All in all,  a family earning at the poverty level,  has an equivalent annual income of between $40,000 and $50,000 per year . . . . . . tax free.

And 90% of these folks vote "Democrat"  when they vote.
