Obama stoops to using "felon" in his debate with Romney. How dumb is that??!!

<<<<   Seriously,  a Chicago thug calling someone else a "felon?????"

You should know that a Boston Globe story was the beginning of all this idiocy about Romney and Bain Capital, three days ago.    Any number of Democrat allies have asked Obama to abandon this campaign tactic,  but he has refused and,  yesterday,  instructed a deputy campaign manager to push forward with the accusation that Romney might be a felon with regards to his work with Bain.

Thursday (July 12),  I referenced a Fortune report detailing a repudiation of these charges.  Since that Thursday article,  the Obama people have decided to “double down” on this baseless charge.  As a consequence,  FactCheck.org has taken a second look at the “new evidence” and has concluded that its first report was accurate in a July 13 article entitled, “Romney’s Bain Years:  New Evidence,  Same Conclusion.”

Here is a portion of that report:

On a media conference call about the Globe story, Stephanie Cutter, Obama’s deputy campaign manager, said the story proves that Romney had “full control” of Bain during this time and “therefore directly responsible” for decisions made at companies in which Bain invested. “Either Mitt Romney, through his own words and his own signature, was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the SEC, which is a felony. Or he was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the American people to avoid responsibility for some of the consequences of his investments,” Cutter said.

But we see little new in any of these SEC filings, and a University of Pennsylvania Law School professor we spoke to sees no basis for the Obama campaign’s claim that Romney committed a felony. (linkage to full article is here).
You should know that the Washington Post has also debunked this story and is standing firm with its position   (article found here).  Again,  this “debunking” is in addition to FactCheck and Fortune Magazine.

Understand that the only people who are buying into this accusation are those on the far, far Left.  Obama,  in the most recent polls,  is losing the Independent vote by 14%.  You should know that Independents do not care for mud slinging.  Obama is only separating himself from that most important voting block as he pursues this nonsense.

But,  I say "Hats off to his efforts."  I kind of like "stupidity" in this case.  It means he will not be around,  this time next year.  Gone and forgotten, we hope.

Salute to mental illness !!!!

  1. SEC documents show Romney remained Bain's "sole stockholder, chairman of the board, chief executive officer and president" until 2002, when he and the firm finalized a severance deal.

For Romney to be truly off the hook politically for the stuff Bain was doing, he’d have to claim not lack of control, but lack of knowledge. And that’s just not going to wash with anyone. He could try going the “I didn’t have even the slightest idea what the company I technically still owned was doing” route, but he’d be marking himself as either dishonest or incompetent.

And yet that’s really his only out.

  2. Here is the problem with your theory, and it is only a ridiculous theory. The SEC is not only NOT pursuing this matter, they are not interested enough to even express an opinion. So much for a felonious Mr. Romney.

Maybe you should look into Obama's Sec of Treasury, Timothy Geithner, and his criminal involvement in the rising Libor scandal. Don't know what that is? Stick around, you will -- and Geithner was hooked up to Obama during the time this illegal bank to bank lending scandal was going on. Did it benefit Fannie and Freddie and Obama by rite of the fact that he is the titular head of those institutions? Maybe.

Me? I think organizing a phony gun running scheme, lying about it and pretending that the death of a federal agent is no big deal, well, I count that as criminal, and that is a matter of record, my friend.

Dozens of Democrat news agencies, fact checking sources, and politicians disagree with your opinion and some Democrats have asked Obama to stop with the accusations.

Documents show that Romney was not in attendance [after 1999] in meetings that dealt with critical Bain business. You know so very little about business and Barry Obama. I sold a refinishing business years ago, but had to be a part of the new business for months, while the new owner was learning the ropes. It yet, I was there round the clock and made most of the serious business decisions. It was not my business during that transition, nor was I responsible for business decisions and etc. Ditto for Romney.

You all really do not want to talk about the nation's most critical issues, do you? And, we all know why, don't we.
