California OKs funding for high-speed rail line

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- California lawmakers approved billions of dollars Friday in construction financing for the initial segment of the nation's first dedicated high-speed rail line connecting Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The move marked a major political victory for Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown and the Obama administration. Both have promoted bullet trains as job generators and clean transportation alternatives. . . . . .

This high speed rail project is the nation’s first outside the Northeast muni-complex that feeds New York City.

In California,  this project will be 30 years to completion,  if,  in fact,  that [completion] is even possible.   Understand that Democrats have never understood how money issues work on a balance sheet.  Their Utopian dream is the central issue and supersedes the logic and necessity of  fiscally responsible outcomes.

Example One:

The ObamaCare Tax Act is a recent example.  In drafting this legislation,  the Marxist hordes who wrote this thing rolled Medicare into its purview and, in so doing,  insured that ObamaCare will never survive financially.    It makes no difference to some that you cannot take half a trillion out of a Medicare program that is already 39 trillion in debt,  add 30  million into that program, and ignore the need to train and employ 160,000 additional doctors.

Example Two:

Moving passed the financial disasters of Medicare and ObamaCare,  we have Social Security with its 17 trillion in unfunded liabilities and,  now,  growing at the rate of 10,000 a day for the next 15 years as the Boomer enter that program. 

Conclusion:

Nothing Democrats do in the name of  “fairness”  is vaguely responsible or financially plausible . . . . . nothing.  And, now,  with the last four years,  we now know that they  cannot even author a sound financial statement.    They do not have the know-how.  So they skipped writing a budget for gong on the fourth fiscal year and their organizing leader [B Obama] could not get a single “yes” vote on three of his past  budget submittals.  Nancy Pelosi nor Hapless Harry Reid voted for these budgets !!  Obama’s submittals garnered 97, 95, and 414 votes AGAINST without a single vote in favor.  How does that happen?  One would think that some Democrats would vote for these submissions. 

 Anyway,  they clearly do not know what they are doing and no longer need to be a part of the political theatre.  

“But Bill Clinton gave us a decent economy,”  some will argue.  Indeed,  but Bill Clinton was a Governor before he was a president and he was not Marxist, One World pig.  He understood politics and diplomacy and negotiations and compromise.  Obama and the present-day class of morons leading this country understand none of this.   Oh for the days when the political debate was between small government types on the Right and normal liberal  people Left.

And now we have this high speed rail nonsense.  The first 130 miles of rail will not accept passengers and will, in no way,  pay for itself.  And,  if the GOP does as well as they did in 2010,  there will be no federal money coming to California for this idiot’s project . . . . . . . and everyone, “everyone”  I say,  knows it.  But,  in the words of the most rabid Utopian thinkers,  “Reality be damned.”
