Black Lawmakers Plot 'Walkout Strategy' During Holder Contempt Vote

The Congressional Black Caucus has called a members-only "emergency" meeting on Thursday to plot a "walkout strategy" ahead of the scheduled contempt vote of Attorney General Eric Holder later in the day.

The plans, detailed in an email from the executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus obtained by the Alley, include circulating a letter disapproving of the vote and having lawmakers walk out of the Capitol to hold a press conference during the roll call.

The letter, a draft of which is being circulated for signatures, accuses the GOP leadership of "rushing recklessly to a contempt vote." The letter is being circulated among the Black, Hispanic, Asian and Progressive caucuses, among other. . . . . . (link)

Editor’s note: never mind the fact that this has been going on for 18 month and the subpoena order was eight months ago (October of 2011). Understand that the Holder supporters argue that Congress should be worried about jobs, not this persecution. What they want you to forget is the fact that this particular House committee is not a jobs committee. Its function is embedded in its title: the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Issa and this committee is doing exactly what it has been commission to do. In fact, this committee has existed in some form since 1816.

Again, this committee is doing its job, Elijah Cummings racist opinions to the contrary.

Can you believe that of all the well qualified black candidates (in either party) running around, we had to go elect an imperialist wannabe dictator and his anti-capitalist minions? Wow.
