Obama targets the Black vote. Why? Is he in trouble with these folks, traditionally anti-gay in their social leanings?

 ZIP / Weasel Zippers:
Obama Releases New Ad Campaign Targeting Black Voters: “We've Got Your Back!”  — Update: Audio Added...  If he has their backs, who has ours?  —  Via The Grio: … Update: This is the actual audio from the ad, reminiscent of a blaxploitation soundtrack from the 1970s.  Our own WM added the pics. . . . .

Editor's notes: my question is this:  if all is well between Obama and his Black constituency,  why is he targeting them in recent ads?  Could it be that many within that community resent his turn-around on gay marriage?  Understand that the Black voter is less inclined to support pro-gay issues than any other voting block.  Obama's decision to appease his radical gay base, has caused much more concern than is being reported with virtually all black Christian pastor's siding with the traditional marriage majority within their community.

The voting advantage Obama thought he might realize with his new position,  just might cost him an equal number of votes [ or more] within a voting block that is considered "monolithic" when it comes to supporting black politicians and,  at this time,  Barack Obama.  Has Obama taken his Black support for granted?  Time will tell.
