Why the Left is so angry and why there is little they can do about it.

Famed leftist Noam Chomsky sat down with Laura Flanders of GRITtv to discuss the Occupy movement and his thoughts on the Republican  Democrat Parties,  In this 24+ minute video,  the MIT emeritus whatever,  explains why the Democrats have given up on courting the white working class and they have.  


Problem:  they gave up on the white working class while it remains the strongest voting block in these United States.  They have given up on us?  Fine.  Their problem is this:  we have given up on them, as well.

The old man had this to say:   "The Republican Party has pretty much abandoned any pretense of being a traditional political party. It’s in lockstep obedience to the very rich, the super-rich and the corporate sector. They can’t get votes that way, so they have to mobilize a different constituency. It’s always been there, but it’s rarely been mobilized politically. They call it the religious right, but basically it’s the extreme religious population. The US is off the spectrum in religious commitment. It’s been increasing since 1980, but now it’s a major part of the voting base of the Republican Party, so that means committing to anti-abortion positions, opposing women’s rights. [...] "

Anyone see pictures of those 8 million TEA Party folks at the 2009 and 2010 demonstrations ?  Yep, sure enough.  They are all super rich, white, ultra-religious and, did I say super rich? No commoners in our crowds.   Look at the demonstrators and see if you can count the CEO's and Bank Presidents. You are looking at Middle America.   And most of us are married.  Maybe the old guesser from MIT should ask our wives if we are anti- women's rights.  And abortion?  Its not a woman's health issue.  It is a matter of life and death for the silent unborn.

Chromsky (isn't that Russian or something?),  thinks the conservative element  has just now, become  "a major part of the voting base"  of the Republican Party.  That just shows to go you,  he knows nothing of  conservative national politics.

"We" have been around forever.  Its just that we kept believing our own,  when they would preach "smaller government, reduced spending and lower taxes." Turns out they were just kidding,  all those years.   Finally,  in 2006,  we decided that we were not going to take it anymore,  and a couple of million of us stayed away from the voting booth.   As a result,   the very blond,  Nancy Pelosi and her crowd of misfits took over . . . . . . . .  but,  the GOP still was not listening to us.  McCain voiced disgust with our refusal to compromise anymore and ridiculed our faith.    By the time this jerk from Arizona got the GOP nomination,  millions of us said,  "Fine.  You all think we are no longer needed,  try winning a stinking election without us"  and,  they did,  and they failed . . . . . .  big time.   More than 5 million of us stayed away from the Obama election in 2008.  Now, finally,   the Establishment within the GOP knows that we will no longer support their compromising ways,  and are not afraid of staying away from the polls to make the case.  "We mean what we say,  and we are mean about it."

"The US is a country [in which] 80 percent of the population thinks the Bible was written by God. About half think every word is literally true. So it’s had to appeal to that—and to the nativist population, the people that are frightened, have always been."

 Let's say this MIT know-it-all is correct and 80% of this nation thinks the Bible was written by God.  So what?  What in the world does that have to do with whether or not we should pay our bills or stop setting terrorist free or stop negotiating with enemy forces or stop with this business of surrendering our sovereignty to the UN and the World Court, or transferring 50% of our oil royalties to foreign countries, or handing the world our technical trade secrets ?   (News to you??  Well,  I will be talking about this later this week).

Do you understand just what has the Left all bunched up?  "We" have decided it is time for  "them" to compromise, for a change . . . . . and for as long as we did;  something like 40 years.

What they really do not understand is this:  the United States is a center right, nation,  by a ratio of 40:17 in the latest polling results. That ratio has never been reversed,  btw.    More than that,  there is no alternative,  in a free market system,  to capitalism;  I say not alternative,  at all.  Obama wants you to believe that capitalism does not work and wants you stand with your nose against the wall,  rather than stepping back and taking a "look see,"   a refresher course, of sorts,   on the 240 year greatness of this country.

Doesn't work my backside !!!  Its Stalin and Lenin and Marx and

Fidel and Chavez and Putin and Ill (N. Korea) and the Red Chinese

and all of socialist Europe that doesn't work.
