I say, use the Jeremiah Wright accusation of bribery to force Obama to condemn Wright for participating in the "big lie." Romney has already issued his denial of this ad campaign. Now, it is Obama's turn, no??

I am sorry,  but I do not think this line of attack is a mistake unless it takes Romney off message.  He has already denounced this type of political ad, as he should.  The fact that his supporters intend to run this campaign,  anyway,  is what elections are made of.  What you are witnessing is the Democrats attempting to take charge of the 2012 campaign and they did when McCain was their target.

For me,  my question as to Obama candidacy is this:  do we want someone willing to result to bribery as our president.  Say what you will about Jeremiah Wright,  in the end, many within the black community believe  he is a man who functions as a pastor and believes in an honest,  non-compromising debate.  His one time protégé, Barack Obama,   offered him a bribe to stop talking or so the pastor makes claim in a recorded interview.    Those are the facts of the case,  unless, of course,  Obama is telling the truth in his denial.

I say,  “Let Obama call his pastor a liar” and we will move on.

How important is this campaign ad?  The sheer panic seen in the Obama camp is evidence of their concern.  If the GOP campaign uses this circumstance as suggested above,  there is reason to fear.  There is a fairly large number of black theologians and pastors who respect Wright and would trust him above Obama

In a report from the Daily Caller,  we have this:

Top Democratic strategists have reacted quickly to stop a proposed $10 million advertising campaign that would highlight the relationship between President Barack Obama and his old Chicago pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Plans for the potential ad campaign were revealed this morning by the New York Times.

“Stunning! Will Mitt stand up, as [Sen.] John McCain did? Or allow the purveyors of slime to operate on his behalf?” claimed a 5.42 a.m. tweet from David Axelrod, the senior strategic at Obama’s campaign headquarters in Chicago.
The proposed advertising is a “hateful campaign being planned by GOP super PACs,” claimed Bill Burton, who runs a Democratic “super PAC” political action committee, dubbed Priorities USA Action, that is itself designed to run negative ads against Gov. Mitt Romney.
The Wright-focused advertising campaign is being designed by campaign ad guru Fred Davis, and was commissioned by Joe Ricketts, who founded the brokerage firm TD Ameritrade, according to the May 17 article in the New York Times.
“The world is about to see Jeremiah Wright and understand his influence on Barack Obama for the first time in a big, attention-arresting way,” says the proposal, according to the Times.
Burton’s tweet came at 5.58 a.m. — some 16 minutes after the alert from Axelrod, who has worked in Chicago politics for decades.
