Mission Statement: This blog reviews the news of the day in light of 242 years of American history. "Nationalism," a modern day pejorative, has been our country's politic throughout history, until 2008. Obama changed that narrative. Trump is seeking a return to our historical roots. Midknight Review supports this return to normality.
Expose' II and III: Don't have time to write, but you will be interested in these two stories: Michelle v Ophra and Barack v Jeremiah Wright
<<<< Not friends anymore (?)
Clearly, a large element within the establishment media has decided to be more objective in its reporting. The New York Post is one such outlet. Currently this news network is publishing these two stories:
The first is The 'bribe' to silence Wright in which Jeremiah Wright reveals the offer of $150,000 from Obama himself, hoping to convince Wright to sit out the election on the sidelines.
The second story of interest is titled: Jealous Michelle vs. Oprah. In deciding to publicly support Barack Obama in 2008, Oprah took a hit in her approval numbers, dropping form an amazing rating of 74 to 66 percent within weeks of her decision. Many believe that her support brought in more than one million votes for Obama and won him the Democrat primary contest. There is reason to believe that her public support of the Slickster is a contributing factor in her problems her new television network, OWN.
Without getting into the "cat fight"details, suffice it to say, that Valarie Jarrett and social secretary, Desiree Rogers (who resigned after "year one") agreed with Michelle to push against any increase of influence regarding Oprah and the White House. As you might know, Ophra has announced that while she will vote for Obama, she will not use her bully pulpit in support of his re-election efforts. No doubt she is concerned for the effect this will have on her new cable network, which is having problems of its own.
I have talked about the "perfect storm" gathering around Barack's candidacy. These stories are part of that storm and, I must admit, I enjoy being right (or so it seems).
