" It’s an all-out push by Team Obama to find the ideal bin Laden balance: harnessing maximum political advantage from the anniversary while minimizing any backlash over politicizing the historic event."
And with those words, we are given Obama's impossible task, as I see it. To imagine there is a "balance" between bragging about that for which he only gave permission and the sacrifice of those who paid for the raid, in the days following the killing, is the height of arrogant stupidity.
Three months after being identified (by their Commander in Chief, Barack Obama) as the Special Opts unit responsible for killing Osama bin Laden, the LA Times reported this terrible news, payback for the killing:
Three months after they killed Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in neighboring Pakistan and cemented their place in military legend, the SEALs suffered a devastating loss when nearly two dozen of the elite troops were among 30 Americans who died when their helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan early Saturday.
Obama put a target on their backs (Seal Team 6 ) and, now, wants to take credit for their accomplishment.
