TEA Party Patriots founder escapes gun carrying charge but New York City keeps his Glock.

Tea Party Patriots co-founder Mark Meckler, avoided a felony charge for gun possession and a 15 to 25 year jail sentence.  He plead guilty to disorderly conduct, instead,   and paid a fine.  The New York authorities kept the Glock 27,  refusing to return the gun to Meckler.    He was arrested when trying to check a locked gun box at Delta Air Lines.

Sorry,  but I cannot get all hot and bothered over this.  When traveling from one state to another,  you had better know what "land mine"  laws exist . . . .   helmet laws for bikers and gun laws for patriots are two important matters that find you in jail in spite of honest motives.  It is that simple and I will leave it at that.
