Biggest opening night for any series, ever. In spite of losing two of its popular stars, the current team is doing just fine, thank you. And, they are doing fine without the constant humiliation of those who have come to the auditions with little more than hope, as a talent.
A great show.
I am amazed at how many people this show helps. There is not one
winner but a dozen, each each . . . . . perhaps more. Look at
the Hudson girl (woman, now) . . . the one losing all that weight. She
is one of the most successful of the bunch, and that happened before she
started losing weight. She was voted off on the 3rd week of the show.
The first auditions across the nation have to do with picking talent to "Go to Hollywood." Hundreds of kids are selected for that second audition. Here is the remarkable thing -- all of them are given lessons from voice coaches. Awesome.
No one wants to
get political about this event, but tell my why this is not a huge plus
for capitalism. Anyway, my wife and I dig this show.
