Want a sense for how bad things are going for Barack Obama within his own party? Here are the words of an angry Michael Moore at a Travis Smiley poverty conference over the weekend:

MICHAEL MOORE: "They're so desperate to be elected, that [it] is more powerful than the money than they're getting from these corporations is your vote. They can't win without your vote -- and don't let the Democrats and Barack Obama play that card of 'Well, where else are you going to go?' You know? They do not want to do that. They really don't want to do that because they saw what happened in 2000. There's just enough pissed off people that will actually go somewhere else and can cause a huge ruckus as a result of that. So, they do not have to go back very far to think of an example of what happens when you punk on those who have less. Don't do that, President Obama and the Democratic party. Stand up now.
"Imagine Obama calling a press conference in the morning and going 'I have decided that this year I am returning all the money I've received from Wall Street and I'm not taking one dime from Wall Street in this election right now.' What do you think would happen? What do you would think would happen? Think about the support he would have. People right now -- how many in here went door to door and phone calls and everything in '08? Ask how many people can't wait to get back on the phone banks? It's not there."

While the media focus is on the GOP and its divided primary process, the Democrat party is experiencing a near mutiny of folks on the far Left. They believe that "Obama came from us" (Chris Matthews, MSNBC) , that Obama owed them and they have been used and deceived.

Indeed, they have.

Expect this to be a factor in November. The Michael Moore’s of the Left know a faux effort to appease them, when they see such. Make no mistake, everything Obama is doing, right now, is in an attempt to please his base. He does not appear to be fooling anyone.

The Stated Nonsense from the Left now includes these Progressive goals:

July 2, 2008, Obama had this to say: "We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

MICHELLE OBAMA: "Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we're going to have to change our traditions, our history; we're going to have to move into a different place as a nation."

On September 30, Van Jones told MSNBC "I think everybody should hold onto your seats. October is going to be the turning point when it comes to the progressive fight back."
