I meant to post this story, this morning.
Those who have to do with this Keystone Pipeline might begin its construction on our side of the Canadian border, using existing routes and right-of-ways to take the pipeline to the Gulf. It would transfer oil from the Bakken oil field in North Dakota to the Gulf.region. The pipeline, the oil field production and all related businesses would total some 6,000 to 10,000 jobs according what I have been able to confirm (for what it is worth). You are going to hear a lot about the Bakken oil reserves. Many believe that it might hold as much oil as is found in Saudi Arabia. The pipeline, under this scenario, would not need federal approval since it is using approved passage. . . . . . . . brilliant !!
Keep in mind, that this project will bring 7 billion dollars into the economy, all of it private sector money . . . . . . . . . none of it taxpayer money. In addition to this, most of the jobs created will be union jobs.
Could the GOP work things to their advantage and "take this job away from Obama?" I am talking about going in behind closed doors and working out an agreement of some sort the unions in return for support in the coming election. No?!

Should be interesting.
