From an April 17,2011 report, we have this good news about the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of the Horizon disaster:

Scientific research is giving Gulf seafood a clean bill of health. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration officials have unequivocally declared that any traces of oil in more than 40 species of marine life is 100 to 1,000 times below the level of concern set by a team of scientists from the FDA, NOAA, EPA and all five Gulf states. “The seafood has been analyzed, examined, observed, and scientifically tested from every possible angle,” said Chris Nelson, vice president of Bon Secour Fisheries, Inc., in Bon Secour, Alabama. “And every credible source that I can find has told me that our seafood is safe.”

Understand that the offshore oil drilling rig, the Horizon, exploded on April 20th of 2010. The resulting and massive oil "leak" was not stopped until September 19th. Just six months later, after the worst environmental disaster in history and amid doomsday forecasts of a "dead sea" effect for two decades, the waters of the Gulf and Mother Nature, completely reversed the effects of the disaster . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . again I say, in six months.

Point of post: environmentalist don’t know their collective rump from a buoy when it comes to doomsday forecasts and their little mathematical models.
