Beck is almost off the reservation, and here is why:

In his Monday morning radio program, 6 to 9 am out here in California, Beck told the audience that he would consider voting for a third party candidate such as Ron Paul, should Newt Gingrich win the nomination.

I like Glenn. I am a $100 member of his little GBTV club and now, he comes out with this. I cannot not count the times I have heard him admonish against splitting the party for the sake of a personal preference. Beck hates the foreign policy of Ron Paul, like most of us, but is willing to the sacrifice the single most important constitutional responsibility for an American President, that of protector of the homeland. That is Job One, by definition. Why do you think the president is the Commander in Chief -- again, because his first responsibility is that of protector of our great nation from the harm our enemies might bring against us.

It is clear that Ron Paul does not believe in a "just war," and would rather see our soldiers suffer and die than mount a preemptive strike, designed to save American lives.

And Glenn Beck would vote for this guy?!!

I am hoping that we are not about to give this election to the One Worlder who sits in our White House, but with folks like Glenn Beck running around, well . . . . . . . . . . I can't tell you how disappointing this is.

Update: listened to Beck this morning (Tuesday, 12/13/11). He makes sense in his research of Newt. Fine. But it is not fine to vote a third party, period. Newt needs to be held accountable for his past, to be sure, but he is dealing with many of these issues and his conservative agenda was part of his success, such as it was, back in the Clinton Administration. His choice for Vice President is a very critical issue. That selection will tell us all, just how serious he is about his new found faith in conservative politics.
