She was a speaker at the Democrat Convention, held in Florida this past Saturday. Reminding the convention attendees that Florida is an absolute "must" in Obama's re-election strategy, she was basically ignored as she bashed "teabaggers" and promised that Obama "would take them on."
A tough talking foul mouthed babe from Southern California - you know, a typical Obama administrator, she joined the ranks of the classless majority within the current Administration with this speech.
Her father was a teamster union shop steward and her tenure as Labor Secretary is more aptly stated as "U.S. Secretary of Unionized Labor." At the convention, she encouraged those who weren't too busy talking and eating, to support Obama's "jobs" plan, promising the plan would put two million people back to work, " . . . . especially construction workers," a rather curious observation since this jobs "jobs plan" is only a one year plan and the construction jobs Obama has in mind are infrastructure jobs that will take two to five years to permit, before construction can start. But, unless you read this blog from time to time, you do not know that Obama is not talking about anything that will happen in the coming 12 months except whatever monies are earmarked for the union coffers - we estimate some 30 billion dollars out of this bill, alone.
Her talking points, no doubt ordered by the White House, included blaming "globalization and market changes" (kind of the same thing) for the decline in union membership within the private sector, where union membership stands at just 6% of the labor force. Nearly all of that percentage exists within states that mandates union membership.
She, also, misrepresented the GOP stance on "collective bargaining." In Florida and Wisconsin, two of the hot spots in the battle to curtail union excesses, collective bargaining has been taken off the table with regard to legacy and benefit programs. It [collective bargaining] remains the negotiating process for wages, however. She has to know this and in that knowledge, willingly lied about the situation, yesterday.
Point of post: just to let you know that our Executive Branch is filled with those of a socialist concern, and they are officially on the move. Obama has stopped governing, choosing, rather, to campaign on a full time basis. Apparently, that is the case with those within his Administration, as well. What does this mean? Simply, that Obama and Company know, full well, just how deep in the hole are his election chances. He began full time campaigning with the first week of April, earlier than any president in history.
Since he has no clue as to running the country, maybe "campaigning" is his next best choice.
