Obama and the Saul Alinsky intern, Hillary, both had their chance at Iran, nearly two year ago, during the Green Revolution. Back in the day, the youth of Iran was begging Obama for help. And why would they not? He had funneled 1.4 billion dollars to Gaza, for humanitarian purposes. Then, there was that speech, Obama making history speaking to the Muslim world at the University of Cairo. He was openly critical of Israel and more supportive of the Palestinians than Jimmy Carter.
But their pleas for help went unattended. In fact, on the weekend Iran "went nuclear," Obama went on a ten day vacation.
Did you know that in the most recent poll of Middle East opinion, Obama has a lower approval rating than George Bush? In July of this year, the anti-Israel pollster, James Zogby, released this report:
Most surprisingly, Obama’s approval ratings are even lower than President Bush’s before he left office in 2008. They dropped from 26 percent to 12 percent in Morocco, 9 percent to 5 percent in Egypt, 16 percent to 10 percent in Jordan and 22 percent to 12 percent in the UAE (though they did improve in Saudi Arabia, and tick up slightly in Lebanon).
Talk, talk, talk. And he is reaping the reward. In fact, he and the entire Democrat Party are looking at another 2010. There is time to change course, but the change I have in mind is not a sharp turn to the Left.
When was the last time we elected a president whose platform for re-election was raising taxes and hating the rich? Just askin'.
