First time unemployment claims "unexpectably" rise

For the ninth week in a row, first time unemployment claims for benefits remained above the 400,000 mark. Last week, this number came in at 422,000 but was adjusted down to 415,000. Today, that number is 427,000 and "they" say this was "unexpected" as if someone in the Administration has a clue about what they are talking about. Understand this, before anyone can speak of a sustained recovery, these weekly unemployment numbers need to be 350,000 or lower on a consistent basis.

For my concerns, reporting on the employment/unemployment picture is somewhat similar to reporting on a soap opera . . . . . . same old same old.

Remember the "Summer of Recovery?" Well, that was LAST summer. What are they going to call it this time around? And to think, just yesterday, Obama announced that he wasn't "worried about a double-dip recession."

By the way, did you know that Biden is thinking of running for the presidency in 2016 !!!
