Update: I want to be perfectly clear about my analysis of the importance of Sarah Palin. When I suggest that she wait, I am not leaving off my enthusiasm for her, what she has done on a personal level, and how unselfish she has been with her choices since leaving the Governorship. Understand that most would have been more than tempted to quit as Governor (to keep from being destroyed financially), take those millions made off the book sales, and leave the political arena altogether.
Palin did not do this and, I am proud to say, I was among the first to predict that she was not quitting the political fight. I made this prediction within days of her resignation. In fact, I believe I was the first to make my prediction that she was not leaving the grassroots battle behind. It seemed far to reasonable to me to imagine Palin using her new found wealth to ward off her antagonists. After all, what could be worse for Palin's opponents than to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in a quest to destroy her , making her famous AND marketable at the same time, get her thoroughly angry and then, suddenly, to have her resign from holding an office that prevented her from making a full defense, collect millions in a single day and then turn on her enemies and say something similar to this: "Come to Mama you Marxist freaks" ----- (can anyone say "run-on sentence") ?
One thing I have taken away from all this Palin stuff is this: a realization and appreciation for the need to have wealth on a personal level. Glenn Beck has told reporters that "protection" from wacko threats cost him a million dollars a year. Palin had to pay off half a million in lawyer and court fees plus pay for her own protection. When the likes of George Soros comes after you, you had better have money or you are done as a politician. That is a fact.
Think about it, they chased Palin until she caught them.
Understand that they can win the presidential battle but they cannot keep Palin from exercising the influence she now has. Presidential politics is one thing. Raw political power is quite another -- and Palin owns the later.
Think about it -- "they" have their George Soros and we have our Sarah Palin. Look at her success with her influence during the midterms. If God is telling her anything, maybe it is that she is exactly where she belongs. I rather think so. After all, exactly what did she do to be where she is other than stand proud and trust in God? I am saying that she took advantage of what was made available to her - made available to her by Another.
Note: in the future, Midknight Review will no longer entertain harsh rhetoric leveled against Sarah Palin. Midknight Review's content is not formatted to engender mindless debate nor are we in existence to be "fair" with opinions from the Marxist Left. We regard such as enemies of the state. The idiocy of the Palin attack machine over the course of the past 9 days has made it obvious to this editor that they have absolutely nothing to offer in the arena of ideas . . . . . . slander, lies and hypocrisy are not acceptable tools of debate. The liberal women who have occasionally voiced an opinion on this site are filthy mouthed and the men are parrots of the Leftist Doctrine. Logic, compassion and well stated ideas are much preferred.
Don't like this decision? Find a cucumber and sit on it until you are thoroughly vegetated.
