One more time on the Obama birth certificate thingy. No, we are not birthers. But, apparently, neither is Obama. We have a question.

Update: Before we get too down on Sarah Palin, understand that Obama has had more than his share of bad weeks. Sarah needs to leave her critics out of the discussion. Look, someone please tell the governor that she has a support media that is persistent and knows how to deal with the trash that seeks to destroy her. Let us do our job, Governor. My Midknight Review is a growing blog that shares some respectability. I care about arguments that work and accuracy in my reporting. Take a look at the argument regarding the birth certificate. I think it is a losing argument to simply assert that Obama is a foreigner. You cannot avoid coming off sounding like a wacko. But to assert his citizenship while admitting to the logic and reasonableness of presenting the birth certificate, well, that is a winning. And that is that we have done. Last year, I was interviewed by a post-graduate at UCLA on this very subject. He wanted to put me in one of his boxes. I would not let him. After an hour and half, the fellow, a nice enough guy, told me that he was surprised at the sensibility of "my" argument. It works and, now, look who has taken up the cause - guess you will have to read on to know of the rest of the story.

Look, if the Constitution declares that the President is to be a natural born citizen of the United States, why in the world is it a crime to ask for proof of same? The solution to this "problem" is so simple that it defies logic not to present the document.

Of course there will be people on our side who will not believe the evidence. But, most citizens and 90% of all Independents will see the produced certificate for what it is - the end of the argument. No doubt, the document will need to be verified before its presentation, but that should not be a problem.

Understand that liberals such as Chris Matthews (MSNBC), Clarence Page (Chicago Tribune), and David Corn (Mother Jones)—say they want to see President Obama’s birth certificate. That's right. Their comments are everywhere on the WWW. I heard Chris Matthews make his statement. Read this article.

We agree with our liberal "friends."

Remember the new governor of Hawaii ranting and raving about his intentions to produce the birth certificate during Bararck's Christmas vacation? I remember. In fact, I remember that one day he was talk, talk, talk about producing the certificate and then, suddenly, there was no more talk. cBS News even reported on the govenor's intentions (New Hawaii Governor to Take on Birthers - Political Hotsheet - CBS) It was if someone told him to "shut up." Well, this Democrat governor said entirely too much about his intentions before he went silent. Now, a month later. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . nothing. His promise to produce the certificate has not been forgotten, however.

Even the well respected American Thinker has stepped into the fray. Understand that conservative think tanks and notable politicians have stayed away from this controversy for obvious reasons. But, when influential pundits support producing the document, well, maybe the tide is changing. Back to the American Thinker. You might want to read their piece on the issue here.
