Midknight Review's Most Disgusting Story of 2011

Bret Favre after the Weinie Cam scandal. Note how many teammates are standing around the man, how much the center of attention is this super star.

Tiger Woods should take the cake on this one but we were not big fans of the man. However, Bret Favre is another story. We have followed him for years and considered him to be a man's man. After all, there is that "iron man of football" thing, playing through one injury after another. He would have fit into our family just fine. This editor has three sons, all freestyle state wrestling champions, all full of life and good times -- kind of like we saw Bret Favre.

Then came "weinie cam" and our review of his manhood went down the drain. A 40+ year old man sending pictures to a hot babe (well, he did get that right) with his wee-wee hanging out (did I just lose my manhood for writing "wee wee"?).

Not a word in all this scandal has been directed at his family situation, which cannot be good. And he made such a big deal about being a family man. Turns out he was more the Huge Hefner family man type than anything else.

And there he was, last weekend, standing around on the Minnesota Vikings sidelines, not being the center of attention, with no one asking for autographs, no one slapping him on his back . . . . . just an old, worn out football warrior with his weinie floating all over the web (I guess). Does he apologize to the young lady who wanted the apology; no money, just an apology? Heck no!!

Did he in anyway own up to this embarrassment ---- you know, like Tiger Woods did? Not a chance. Rather, he will pay a $50,000 fine for non-cooperation !! And here is the conclusion in the NY Times about the NFL's dealings on this matter: "The N.F.L. said it found no evidence that Favre’s behavior toward the woman, Jenn Sterger, violated league policy on workplace conduct. " Hugh ??!! Look, either his weinie is hanging out or not. The pictures are on her cellphone for heavens sake, pics sent to her by a very nicked Bret Favre. No evidence? It appears that we are dealing with more than one moron in this matter.

Bret is the same age as my oldest son. Believe me, I would have had plenty to say if he had been my kid. And he would have owned up to the story. But Bret's dad passed on a few years back, maybe for the best. I will bet that this would have broken the Old Man's heart.
