Let's bounce off this headline for a few, shall we: POLL: Only 21% Want FCC to Regulate Internet...
... In other words, nearly 80% of this country does not agree with Obama on this issue. Understand that under Obama, "80%" is the new minority. I am thinking the only way 80% would be a majority in the mind of Barack would be if that 80% were armed. Maybe he would get the message then.
At any rate, no one wants this at all. It is the first step toward speech control for the Left. Today, we read a headline telling us that Obama is now telling H & R Block how to run their business, forbidding them from extending high interest loans against income tax returns. Control is what this pointie-head is all about.
And political speech is at the very top of his list -- been there for the better part of his first two years. That is why Citizens United vs the FCC was such a pisser for this Marxist Maniac. In this decision, the High Court gave corporations the right to fight back. Obama was thinking it "OK" to use the corporations as whipping boys, "us against them," while preventing them a voice in the class warfare debate.
I am no friend of the corporate world, but, they have a right to exist and exist freely in our American system. Obama lost that court decision and his anger was evident in his State of the Union address, back on Jan 27, 2009, two days after that surprise High Court decision.
He lost, again, on April 6 of 2010 when the D.C. Court of Appeals ruled against the FCC in their ongoing dispute with Comcast and others about whether the FCC has the legal authority to regulate internet service providers. Some believe that this court decision severely limited the power of the FCC - but no one got that memo to Obama. His own 111th congress would not touch "net [as in internet] neutrality." The courts said no - twice. So now, this loser of a president has decided to circumvent all legal and congressional opinion and "do the deed," anyway. To hell with the 80% negative majority, the courts or the congress.
We need people to step up and impeach this menace. Not one of our readers can explain to this blog the difference between a dictator, at this point, and Obama. Give it a shot. It cannot be done.
As editor, I read 5 to 8 hours, daily. Pravada (Russian), the China Daily, the Daily Mail (a UK paper), and many American publications. I have seen a number of headlines indicating the New GOP's intent to delve into and restrict the president's role with regard to regulatory fiat. It is painfully clear that we, as a nation, have given the position of president too much power. It is time to take that power back and put it in the hands of Congress. We can no longer trust those who hold that office.
Ours is a system of "checks and balances." You have heard that before, I am sure. But today, that is no longer the case with regard to our Congress. Obama can do whatever he chooses and that is that.
Anyone know how much land belongs to the Feds in the state of Utah? 70 per cent.
And all of it was taken via Presidential or "Executive Order." All of it. That is land that cannot be developed or put onto the state's tax roles. Anyone been to Utah, lately ? Not exactly the land of the enchanted forest. So "what's up" with the federal land grab? And what is there to keep a maniac president from claiming it all for the Federal Government. Nothing !!! Oh, sure, their would be the public outcry, but who listens to the people, now a days?
Just askin'.
Point of post: time to downgrade the power of the U.S. Presidency.
