Did you know that the Dems refused to create a budget for fear of negative issues during the election. They were supposed to have completed a budget proposal last March. So, is now the time?
The trial of KSM in civilian court: that was dropped last year. Now that the election is over, suddenly Obama and Eric Holder have made a decision. Gee, wonder what that will be ? We on betting on a civilian trial.
Remember that debt commission? Well, immediately after the election, they are talking about taxes, cutting entitlements, the pain of balancing the budget.
Do you all know how bad the elections could have been if the Dems had not busied themselves managing these eventualities? They would have lost the Senate.
Midknight Review believes that Obama is hardly out of the woods. We actually see more pressure working against his re-election than ever before.
1. His energy policies are driving fuel costs higher. If gas at the pump gets to above $4.00 per gallon, the recession will begin to reinvigorate itself.
2. If the KSM trial becomes a civilian trial, most authorities believe it will take 3 to 5 years to complete. If that is the case, it will figure prominently in the 2012 election. Understand that if Obama pushes this trial into the civilian arena, it will be may become one of the worst political strategies in American history.
3. A terrorist attack may take place within this country during the coming months or years. Midknight Review has believed this possibility to be a serious problem for Obama, election wise, but we no longer think that is the case. It does appear that Homeland Security has gotten the message and greatly improved their service to keep us safe.
If there is an attack, we have no plans to jump on Obama unless it comes to light that he/they have not been giving due diligence in this regard.
4. If there is a Supreme Court decision regarding ObamaCare that moves us away from this legislative monster, Obama and the Dems will pay another heavy price.
All we can do is hope for the best.
