A little truth talk about corporate dollars and the Democrat Party.

A few days ago, this week, it was reported that News Corps donated a million dollars to the GOP. That donation was made in or before the month of August. It made news because a thin-skinned Obama, via his party minions, was critical of the donation in spite of the fact that NBC and Comcast have both contributed to Democrat front organizations. We are told that all of this is perfectly legal and above board. Understand that GE owns the NBC/MSNBC news network, so who controls who ??

One of the greatest American myths of our day is that the Dems are not tied to corporate money . . . . . such is a flat-out lie. Prior to the most recent contribution, News Corps' political donations have been split between the Dems (with 54% ) and the GOP (with 46%) . It is the worst kind of hypocrisy to pretend that they, the Dems, reject corporate funding. Understand that before the 2002 McCain/Feingold campaign finance reforms, the Democrat Party took in millions from unions and corporate donations. Even after the campaign reforms of 2002, hundreds of liberal and Marxist groups not governed by campaign law received corporate money and funneled those donations into the coffers of the Marxist run party - again, all of it legal. In fact, part of the Dem's funding strategies is the creation of hundreds of tax-exempt organizations created for the sole purpose of funneling money into the DNC. There are many more such organizations collecting for the Dems than for the Republicans.

Keep in mind this little unknown fact: of the 770 million dollars raised by the Obama campaign, only $178 million came from small and private donors (approximately 3.5 million individuals in total). What of the remaining funding? At least $400 million came from entities that remain unknown to this day. So let's not allow the Dems to pretend they are the party of the people to the exclusion of big money. The Dems are owned by the green corporate world at all levels, trial lawyers and nearly every large union in the country.

Of course the Republicans are not "pure" in this regard, either. But it is a disgraceful lie to pretend that the Dems are not in bed with big big money.
