Forget this midterm election; Obama has lost 25% of those voting for him in '08. He couldn't my grandmother with those numbers, and she is dead.

Obama has more to worry about than he may have thought. An AP post gives us this revelation:

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama's winning coalition from 2008 has crumbled and his core backers are dispirited. It's now Republicans who stand to benefit from an electorate that's again craving change. Nearly two years after putting Obama in the White House, one-quarter of those who voted for the Democrat are defecting to the GOP or considering voting against the party in power this fall. Just half of them say they definitely will show up Nov. 2, according to an Associated Press-Knowledge Networks poll released two weeks before Obama's first midterm elections.

Understand this, the man cannot win reelection if this exodus is not completely reversed. We should never forget that he spent 3/4 of a billion dollars to win an election by just 6.8 %. In real numbers, that translates to a 9 million vote margin. If the AP estimate is true, he has lost somewhere in the neighborhood of 17 million supporters -- no one can overcome that kind of deficit. Midknight Review has Obama losing reelection, if held today, by a 79 million to 56 million vote count. Those numbers should draw closer together over the course of the next two years. He won by a total of 69 million to 60 million votes.
