What if you were a health insurance company and someone told you that you could not cap expenses or refuse anyone who came to you?

Our headline is precisely what is wrong with the Obama healthcare plan in regards to private insurers. On the face of it, these limitations sound stupid . . . . . . until one realizes that the ultimate goal of the Marxist Administration currently in power is a thing called "the public option." Obama and Company WANT private insurers to fail as a business collective.

The failure of private companies as a collective whole will demand the intervention of the Federal Government. As time permits (not today), Midknight Review will detail the problem now that we know more of the federal healthcare plan.

The reader can begin her own research with this Washington Post article linked here. The Specifics of this article have to do with a discussion of the private insurance industry's decision(s) to not market "new child-only" policies. Understand that the industry will continue to insure children of all ages as part of a family plan and accept those with pre-existing health problems. It will not write separate policies, however, for children-only clients. This decision goes against the requirement of health care law, effective tomorrow, September 23rd.

Those within the Administration call this decision "immoral" and "patently dishonest."

Here is the sad fact: private industry, no matter what the product, HAS to make a profit or it cannot continue to exist. Understand that the Obama plan was based on 16 million new claimants covered with the new law. Turns out that this total is somewhere between 37 million and 50 million with the later being a very high estimate. Using the Government's own numbers, ObamaCare was "barely" profitable with the 16 million number. With twice that many people coming into the program, it will run deep in the red with its first year of business in 2014. The healthcare program does not work for the Feds - but, if one sees ObamaCare as a redistributive program, who cares ?

Private industry does not work as a tool for the redistribution of wealth. The destruction of the private health care industry is at stake. Its epitaph will be written in stone by 2014.
