Palin is right to stand up to union chief thug, Richard Trumka and his brand of socialist dominance.

Left - and we do mean Left - is the relatively new president of the socialist workers of the world, also known as the AFL-CIO, Richard Trumka. He was voted into his current position of leadership in September of 2009.

On August 30, he went to Alaska to campaign for the Democrat candidate for the Senate, Scott McAdams, mayor of Sitka, Alaska. He (Trumka) used his visit to Anchorage to include a fairly involved attack on Sarah Palin.

During his speech, he makes this accusation:

Sometimes – about Sarah Palin – you just have to laugh…. But it’s not really funny. In this charged political environment, her kind of talk gets dangerous. “Don’t retreat… reload” may seem clever, the kind of bull you hear all the time, but put it in context. She’s using crosshairs to illustrate targeted legislators. She’s on the wrong side of the line there. She’s getting close to calling for violence. And some of her fans take that stuff seriously. We’ve got legislators in America who have been living with death threats since the health care votes.

Understand that this one-world socialist union head has used thugger and extreme violence before, but somehow thinks that Palin's version of "violence" is on a par with his union in general and himself, specifically. Case in point: Eddie York. York was a non-union contractor who was shot to death as he attempted to break a union strike. At the scene of the shooting, union thugs prevented those trying to help York as he lay on the ground, dying from his wounds. Trumpka was the head of the violent United Mine Workers #17 at the time and defended the killing by saying: "I'm saying if you strike a match and you put your finger in it, you're likely to get burned" and with that rhetorical tripe, made Eddie York responsible for his own death. It is this kind of thugger that gives reason enough to oppose the "card check" legislation being considered by this Marxist lead congress. Further, when the York story was all said and done, Trumka did not censor a single member of his union despite the conviction of one of his Union's captains and a $27 million wrongful death settlement to York's widow.

He is a Chicago style hoodlum with no moral center, a man who would turn his back on organized union violence while pretending to be a man of peace. We know this because that is exactly what he has done in the past.

He was critical of Palin's effort to distinguish between union leadership and union membership, saying that ". . . . we’re one and the same." So, he takes union dues from those who object and spends that money on political causes that suit his fancy. His support of "card check" proves his socialist elitism and refusal to play by the rules. Understand that "card check" is the end of the secret ballot for union workers and has been opposed by such notable collectivists as George McGovern. Card Check is anti-American and flies in the face of a free society.

He has visited the White House 30 times since becoming AFL-CIO Chief Thug - more than any other single person during the same period of time. The second most frequent visitor was the head of the SEIU until he resigned his position (22 visits at last count). Obama will hold hands with Trumka over the labor day weekend. Midknight Review no longer celebrates labor day. The national labor movement has been completely taken over by socialist thugs who care nothing for democracy or the U.S. Constitution. In fact, Trumka recently called for a world tax to aid union affairs and has worked with European Socialists to this end PERMALINK.

What is humorous in all this is Trumka's fear of Palin, a "man among men" running form a woman who is no more violent than Trumka's own mother (we assume). Would a skirt suit his apparel needs better than a pair of pants. We kind of think "Yea, maybe."
