Governor Charlie Crist is digging himself a pretty deep hole. He quit the Republican Party for fear of losing a Senatorial race to Marco Rubio. He then declared himself for the Senate seat as an Independent, and left behind many of the conservative values he claimed to believe in. Over the months, he has proven himself to be the worst kind of political fraud . . . . a man with no moral center, saying and doing whatever he thought would advance his candidacy. And now, the Republican Party is accusing the Governor of the misuse of hundreds of thousands of dollars in GOP funds. The forensic audit revealing the misuse of funds, professionally done by a neutral accounting firm, Alston % Bird LLP, made the conclusions revealed by the State GOP.We expect this to add to Rubio's lead, in the polls. We may see criminal charges. Presently, however, criminal charges have not been mentioned.
The election takes place in November along with the other midterms.
