UNIONDALE, N.Y. (CBS 2) — He was arrested for protecting his property and family.
But it’s how the Long Island man did it that police say crossed the line.

Editor's notes: there should be no limits on gun ownership for those of us with clean records. I have a M-37 short barrel 12 gauge with a 6 shell chamber. It is loaded and not somewhere that will take 3 minutes to access. Several of us are going to buy AK's in the near future. There is a catch to the California law that allows us to buy parts and put the guns together, legally.
The notion that good, law abiding people should be the only people in the country to NOT have fire power is beyond stupid. I have never talked to an anti-gun whiner who even tried to justify banning guns for the law abiding population. They have no arguments.
Several years ago, two sub-teen children, trained in the handling of guns, were murdered in their home by a crazy. The guns were locked in a safe and they did not have the combination -- because of some damn law in this Marxist run state (California). These kids are dead because of a law designed to prevent them from defending themselves - you know, those guns might hurt someone.
And then there is the matter of a nation's government turning against its own people. It happens nearly every year, somewhere in this evil evil world. Guns and righteousness indignation are the only things, at times, that solve such problems. Period.
Thank God we have the ballot and free speech, without these, guns are the next best thing -- ask our Founders. A little too radical ?? Maybe you should read the founding documents. This is the very reason for the 2nd Amendment -- foes within and without.
