Franklin Graham Regrets Army's Decision to Rescind Invite to Pentagon Prayer Service — Evangelist Franklin Graham said Thursday that he regrets the Army's decision to rescind its invitation to him for the Pentagon's National Day of Prayer service on May 6, 2009, but expressed “strong support” for the U.S. military. end of news brief.
Editor's notes: So Franklin Graham is outed by militant Muslim concerns - especially an organization known as CAIR. But this is not the first snub of the Christian faith. Obama has reduced tax benefits offered to faith based charities. He has decried the claim that the US is a "Christian " nation while, at the same time, asserting that the US is one of the largest Muslim nations in the World. He moves against Israel, sends a billion dollars to Hamas in Gaza, and now oversees the rejection of Franklin Graham as a speaker at the National Day of Prayer sponsored by his Pentagon.
The picture in this post closes the door on Obama as a Christian as far as Midknight Review is concerned. If you look at the picture, just above Obama's head (its that thing with the really big ears hanging off each side), you will note what looks like the peak of a small roof - a "dormer" if you will. In the middle of that particular dormer are three golden letters (IHS) which stand for "Jesus". Rather than change the camera angle or move the podium to a different location on the stage, Obama chose to put the dormer directly in the camera's view and ordered Georgetown University (a Catholic college for whatever that is worth) TO COVER OVER those letters. He covered up the name of Jesus at a Christian college when such an action was absolutely unnecessary. In other words, he created the problem for the specific purpose of insulting those who believe there is power in the name or reverence Jesus at some level.
Understand this: absolutely no self respecting Christian would ever have done what was done at Georgetown. None.
Unlike George Bush, Obama does not have a personal relationship with Christ. This editor believes that being a Christian apart from a "personal relationship" with Jesus Christ is impossible.
Most do not know this and even fewer seem to care, but George Bush was the most openly Christian President in decades. On Front Line, in May of 2004, Bush said this: "My relationship with God through Christ gives me meaning and direction." You will die and decay before hearing anything similar from the Christian, Barack Obama. In fact, he is the first "President" to hang "Mao" ornaments on the White House Christmas tree, the first "President" to order the name of Jesus covered and the first "President" to declare that the United States is not a Christian nation.
Understand that "being a Christian" is not a requisite circumstance for the Presidency, in our opinion. But, if you claim the name of Christ, as Obama does, and then move against both The Name and The Faith, well, don't expect a free ride here at Midknight Review. While some will be quick to quote, "Judge not," they are not aware of the fact that we (Christians) are to "judge those within the church." To judge, in this case, is not about heaven or hell. Rather, it is about right and wrong with regard to the Christian faith. And, again, if Obama did not claim to be a Christian, most of this post would never have been written. --- jds.
