National Education Association met this past weekend BUT without Obama or any of his minions.

Editor's notes: These are the words [our headline above] of headlines across the nation, this morning. Understand that Obama was front and center in these NEA meetings for the past three years. But he has not followed through on a number of promises made during the campaign. In fact, Dennis Van Roekel, president of the National Education Association, had these piercing words to say of Obama and his education secretary, Arne Duncan, “Today our members face the most anti-educator, anti-union, anti-student environment I have ever experienced."

The developing message in this Administration is one of "mixed messages." In nearly all fronts, from foreign policy to environmental concerns, Obama has sent mixed messages. Education is no exception. His campaign included a strong pro-education message and then came his first education decision - to shut down a successful private school program in D.C., benefiting 1,700 black students [LINK].

Let's not forget that early last year, when Obama decided to move against the retirement funds of police and teacher unions invested in GM stocks with his successful effort to take over GM and save union benefit programs, he angered several thousand supporters. In working to rescue the auto union legacy programs, he set that union as a much higher priority than the union concerns of teachers and law enforcement. Midknight Review believes that this fact played a role in Scott Brown's surprising victory in Massachusetts.

Point of post: as the midterms approach, this sort of development is, indeed, bad news for the Adolescent in the White House. Recent polling information has shown a falling away of his Hispanic block of voters, to the tune of 30% !! There is news out, today, revealing that Obama is not the environmental president many thought he would be. And now, we have this very obvious rejection of the Administration at the NEA national conference.
