What does that say about the hundreds of young men and women who have died during his tenure as Commander in Chief and the waste of life his decision represents? The LA Times has an article that deals with some of these questions. As members of the military, the military "brass" in charge of winning this war has to be careful in the wording of critical comments. "In a perfect world, Mr. Chairman, we have to be very careful with timelines," Petraeus said under questioning by Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, who wanted to know whether he supported the plan. . . . . . read the full article here. Note: highlights are ours.
