Quite frankly, we do not need the Federal Governemnt in the Gulf.

Here is the most disgusting headline of the past 59 days:

59 Days Into Oil Crisis, Gulf Coast Governors Say Feds Are Failing Them

16 barges equipped to suck the oil sludge out of the Louisiana waters and what is the more important consideration? Whether or not the Federal government via the Coast Guard can verify the presence of fire extinguishers and life vests on board the vessels. Understand that the Louisiana coast line is in crisis and a government agency, the State of Louisiana, has ordered the barges into action. After 59 days of doing nothing but interfering in the clean-up of the Gulf coast, the Federal Government is simply not needed. If it is not going to suspend the Jones Act and allow the 13 individual nations of the world volunteering to come into the Gulf and get the mess cleaned up, then they are not needed.

The Feds have refused to suspend a repressive environmental law that demands the use of chemical disbursements. It is now a demonstrable fact that the chemical disbursements being used in the Gulf are driving the oil down 15 to 30 feet below the surface, not breaking up the oil patterns as environmentalists claim. As a result, huge waves of oil, 20 feet thick and up to 20 miles long (some say 40 miles) are drifting toward the shore line, threatening the clam beds and shrimp rich waters of the region.

This Administration lied its way into power and now, in the midst of its first crisis, is rife with misdirection, ineptness, and a general failure to appreciate the seriousness of the situation. Rather than work with BP from the first week of this crisis, Obama chose to wait until the situation had gotten out of hand, and then develop a confrontational relationship with BP. His preferred brand of governance is one of angry threats and strong arm Chicago style tactics . In all this, he has acted like a stupid man would, bent on his own agenda without a concern for the life of the Gulf Coast.

Understand that the same people who were critical of George Bush in his handling of the Katrina Event have a far worse opinion of Hussein -- 50 positive points for Bush to 35 positive points for Barry or whatever his name is -- text by jds
