Think the Dems are above reproach? Think again, Waldo. We believe their history is far worse than that of the GOP.

the shot fired into the office window of Eric Cantor; the anti-abortionist senior citizen shot and killed in front of a Michigan school; the wide-spread threat of civil disobedience by the pro-abortion lobby during the Bush years when that constituency thought Roe vs Wade was about to be taken down; the domestic terrorist organization, ALF, responsible for billions of dollars of damage to this nation's infrastructure; the accepted thuggery of SEIU and ACORN bullies bused to townhall meetings by the Obama Administration - the first President in Amerian history to actually organize punks and thugs against his own constituency; environmentalist protester Ted Kaczynski - the Unabomber (killed 3 injured 23); Jack Kavorkian ("Doctor Death" is a pronounced political liberal); the Progressive Democrat President, Woodrow Wilson, re-instituted segregation within the ranks of our military; Senator Robert Byrd, a liberal Democrat and KKK leader; the Democrat history of KKK membership and opposition to desegregation in the South; the Confederate South was a Democrat South - Abe Lincoln and the Republican Party rose to "power" fighting for the liberties of the Black man. We should not forget that Martin Luther King, Jr., was a . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Republican. The point of this post is not that the GOP is righteous but that the Dems have a pathetic history of physical violence, hate speech, and racism. One should not listen to Kieth Olberman, the King of Hate on MSNBC without realizing that he is fully accepted as the modern day face of the Socialist Democrat Party IN GOOD STANDING. And then there is Obama's push against free speech, the secret ballot, and his intrusion into the private lives of all Americans on a scale that puts the unreasoned fears against the Patriot Act (which he has continued, btw) to shame. You should know that there is not a single conservative blogger who is not aware of personal risk as a result of their criticism of the current Administration. Remember Obama's effort to convince the public to rat on those who would "put out erroneous information" about his healthcare "reform" bill ?? He was committed to an effort to route all critical emails to his offices -- ALL THIS AND MORE is the new face of the Socialist/Democrat Party. --- jds

With all the talk lately of fear of violence from the right, this article by Mithridate Ombud from NewsBusters.org sums it up nicely. I excerpt this portion only:

• It was not the fear of conservative violence that caused Ann Coulter’s speech to be cancelled this week.
• It was a liberal who bit the finger off a man who disagreed with him on healthcare.
• It was Obama-loving Amy Bishop who took a gun to work and murdered co-workers.
• Joseph Stack flew his plane into the IRS building after writing an anti-conservative manifesto.
• It was liberals who destroyed AM radio towers outside of Seattle.
• It’s liberals who burn down Hummer dealerships.
• It was progressive SEIU union thugs who beat a black conservative man who spoke his mind.
• It’s doubtful that a conservative fired shots into a GOP campaign headquarters.
• In fact, Democrats have no monopoly on having their offices vandalized.
• Don’t forget it was Obama’s friend Bill Ayers who used terrorism as a tool for political change. SDS is still radical, with arrests in 2007 and the storming of the CATO Institute in July 2008.
• It was a liberal who was sentenced to two years for bringing bombs and riot shields to the Republican National Convention in 2008.
• It was a liberal who threatened to kill a government informant who infiltrated her Austin-based group that planned to bomb the RNC.
• It was liberals who assaulted police in Berkeley.
• It was liberals who intimidated and threw rocks through the windows of researchers.
• The two Black Panthers who stood outside polls intimidating people with nightsticks were probably not right-wingers.
• Every time the G20 gets together, it’s not conservatives who destroy property and cause chaos.

And there’s one more here: the brutal beating of Governor Bobby Jindal’s staffer and her boyfriend in in New Orleans during the Southern Republican Leadership Conference.

Just remember: this is an election year…expect the rhetoric and even the violence to get much worse. Desperation causes politicians to do strange things. And it certainly looks to me like the thuggery on the Progressive side has ratcheted up quite a bit lately. This may be the way things are done in Chicago.
