Obama works against private aid institutions but fails to perform in Haiti.

  • Obama continues to believe that his best offence is a continued attack on Bush 43. So now, the terrible situation in Haiti is the fault of Bush. If you believe that lie, you probably are listening to someone read this article to you.
In a press conference billed as a Haitian Update, Cheryl Mills, a deputy member of the State Department reported on what was being done by our government with regard to the Haitian disaster. All of what she said was good. Well, not "all."

Where she went wrong was found in her politicization of the Haitian circumstance. Embedded in her comments was the notion that the current administration has been involved with Haitian aid "for some time" before this natural disaster. Ms. Mills made the same assertion concerning Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. "She has been involved with Haiti assistance for "quite some time". . . . . . . . . to which we say, NONSENSE.

Obama is attempting to convey the notion that his assistance and involvement in Haiti represents a vast improvement over anything that Bush would have done in the same circumstance. Obama is, himself, a natural disaster. His political speak to the contrary will not work. The American people are no longer moved by his grand rhetorical presence or the outright lies he has told -- called "campaign promises."

Understand that NO AMERICAN aid has gotten into the hands of the Haitian people 72 hours and counting after the earthquake. If he is going to claim "improvement" over and against the backdrop of Bush, he should be expected to actually perform better than Bush. It ain't happening. Keep in mind that Obama is moving to cancel all tax relief for private benevolent American institutions !! He wants benevolent aid to come from the government, not from the hearts and efforts of "the people."

Danny Glover, the actor, was critical of the Administration this morning. He argues that other South American nations have done more in the short time since the earthquake. Further, he points to the failure of the Copenhagen Conference as a contributing factor in the current Haitian catastrophe, as if an earthquake is somehow related to "global warming" issues. As silly as that sounds, the fact is that one of Obama's biggest supporters, Danny Glover, is critical of our Acting Head of State.
